Jug partnered with Ecosystem Logic to develop and market several healthcare initiatives dedicated to creating more intelligent connections, richer interactions, and better outcomes between providers and patients in various health sectors. This partnership culminated in the creation of a (proof-of-concept) RAPS product/program that was designed for individuals afflicted with Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorder. This product/program was successfully beta-tested and generated an invaluable asset for Otsuka Pharmaceuticals and its shareholders.

THE CLIENT
Ecosystem Logic was the modern name of Collaborative Care Interactive (CCI), a privately owned health informatics company in Rochester, New York. They developed innovative e-health applications, decision support systems, and online learning communities for healthcare professionals and consumers.
THE PROLOGUE
Jug was honoured to partner with this collaborative and realize various healthcare-based initiatives. He was most fond of designing and leading the development of the RAPS product, which demonstrated that technology could improve clinic administration and patient care and enhance the quality of experience for clinicians, staff, and patients.
In order for the RAPS product to become a reality, Jug needed to translate the research into a functional application that would best serve the program's goals, fit seamlessly with clinic operations, and appeal to patients with mental health disorders. Jug was grateful to use his empathy, logic, and expertise to develop this valuable tool.
THE PROBLEM
The problem was that the current healthcare infrastructure was inefficient in addressing relapse prevention. It would take more than medications, however effective, and more than the scattered, isolated efforts put forth by overstressed, underutilized and underfunded programs to assist those with mental health and the clinics that served them. Ecosystem Logic needed Jug to create something entirely new, something efficient, intuitive, and innovative that could put all stakeholders on the same page.
THE OBJECTIVE
Jug's primary objective was to design and develop a cloud-based proof-of-concept assessment tool that enabled patients and clinicians to collect and collaborate on data to generate a customized, shared treatment plan to reduce a patient's risk of relapse.
Not to be a tease... (kind of)...
Case Studies are time consuming efforts, but I've convinced Jeremy an important showcase for a product designers work. This puts me in a difficult position as promoting him properly requires reference to these larger projects without the ability to represent them entirely. Still, I've included what I can as they remain the largest contributors to his experience, deliver an informative credential, and are capable of generating further discussion.
