General Accounting Administrator

Unimech is one of the fastest growing mechanical contractors in the Calgary area specializing in commercial and institutional construction. We are looking to continue the healthy growth of our company with the addition of a General Accounting Administrator to our office team.

The General Accounting Administrator provides accounting and administrative support to our group of companies.

The primary responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to, the day-to-day accounting and administration of our office. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of managing large volumes of transactions and be accustomed to working in a fast-paced, high energy, hands-on environment. The General Accounting Administrator must be flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs and workplace challenges.

Journeyman Plumber

The Journeyman is responsible for following the orders and instructions of the Foreman, Site Supervisor, or identified superior and coordinating with Helpers and Apprentices on the project site. The Journeyman executes the optimum implementation, completes the highest quality installation, sets an esteemed example, and informs and promotes the Unimech culture and process. Their responsibilities may include delegating, supervising, supporting, or executing those of the Installer or Helper.

Plumbing Apprentices

Unimech is looking for plumbing apprentices to join our team. We are accepting applications currently for starter, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year plumbing apprentices.

We are seeking hard working and motivated individuals who prides themselves in quality workmanship. This position is full-time employment and permanent with ample opportunity for advancement. We are a company that rewards hard work and promotes a safe work culture. Preference will be given to candidates who complete the sent skill assessments.

Daily tasks will include travelling to site to assist in completing plumbing, gas-fitting and hot water heating installations in the City of Calgary and adjacent areas.

Site Foremen

We are looking to continue the healthy growth of our company with the addition of a new Site Foreman or Forewoman.

We are seeking a hard working and motivated individual who prides themselves in quality workmanship. This position is full-time employment and permanent with ample opportunity for advancement in a company that rewards hard work and safety-minded culture. A valid class 5 drivers license is required. Preference will be given to candidates who complete the sent skill assessments.

Daily tasks will include overseeing operations on extended duration projects including supervision of sub-contractors, completion of contract work and correspondence with both site and office staff. We also encourage input on the further development of company policies, processes and safety implementation.
